Working for our team you can truly make a difference. We are currently looking for a Press Operator Assistant to join our team. The Press Assistant role is responsible for the set up and support of printing presses in accordance with the printing specifications and customer requirements/expectations. Why work at MCC: Competitive compensation: $21.50 hourly (shift differentials: 2nd shift $2 and 3rd shift $1.50)Generous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day plus two floating HolidaysResponsibilities: Continuously monitor print and seam quality; remove defective material and splice web per ruler safety knife and hole punch during splicing and other tasks as and palletize rolls without causing basic printing and seam-related and enter production data accurately in the Radius Press Operator with make-ready: mount cylinders prepare inks substrates tooling and anilox rollers per Job Ticket and Product press-side quality checks (copy color registration ink adhesion) and functional efficient changeovers including wash-up and set-up plates cylinders ink pans; lubricate press as a clean safe work area through daily housekeeping and 6S all plant and corporate safety rules; report concerns immediately to in process improvement initiatives and special as backup support during operator absences breaks or downtime (may operate equipment under supervision).Communicate job status mechanical/material issues and critical updates to team and Lean Manufacturing principles and sustain 6S attendance production and quality standards; comply with all MCC policies and :High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrint shop experience helpful but not requiredAbility to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and written form); seen as a team playerAbility to read and understand a job ticketAbility to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test)Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test)Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test)Ability to input data in the computerAbility to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructionsAbility to stand and move around press area for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 and solution-focusedAbility to prioritize multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentThe above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives of the organization.
