Job Description Summary

MRTA is about understanding and maintaining our equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible making sure it performs as intended. The Maintenance discipline covers the development of Maintenance strategies and the planning coordination and execution of Maintenance activities. Maintenance ensures safe defect free and efficient operations through the regular upkeep of equipment and tools in the most cost efficient and timely manner.

Technician Solid Wax Plant (MTAC) supports the safe and effective execution of maintenance and troubleshooting activities within the Solid Wax Plant.
The role focuses on learning and performing routine maintenance under supervision across Mechanical (Static & RE) Instrumentation Electrical and basic PLC systems in line with MTAC and site safety requirements.

What youll be doing

Mechanical (Static & Rotating) Maintenance

  • Assist in routine and corrective maintenance of mechanical and rotating equipment within U8600.

  • Support maintenance activities as per SAP including:

    • Pump/motor bearing greasing

    • Lube oil change

    • Filter and strainer cleaning

    • Product conveyor system

  • Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of systems including:

    • Material handling

    • Slabbing / moulder units

    • Granulator and solid handling

    • Refrigerant systems

  • Support removal of equipment for workshop repair and assist during RE equipment maintenance activities.

Electrical Maintenance (LV)

  • Assist in maintenance of lowvoltage electrical equipment within U8600.

  • Support isolation (LOTO) of LV motors heat tracing etc. under supervision.

  • Assist in basic troubleshooting and replacement of electrical components such as motors contactors relays and control panels.

  • Comply with Competent Electrical Person (CEP) requirements as applicable.

Instrumentation & System (PLC) Support

  • Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation.

  • Support planned maintenance and safeguarding testing as defined in SAP.

  • Assist in basic system / PLC firstline checks under supervision.

  • Support maintenance activities on instrumentation related to:

    • Material handling

    • Slabbing / moulder units

    • Granulator and solid handling

    • Refrigerant systems

  • Assist in removal of control or onoff valves for workshop repair.

  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records.

HSE & Compliance

  • Comply with site HSE rules Permit to Work (PTW) LOTO and LifeSaving Rules.

  • Participate in toolbox talks risk assessments and safety observations.

  • Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.

Learning & Skill Development

  • Develop multidiscipline skills in line with MTAC Job Competency Progression (CD&A).

  • Work under guidance of senior technicians and supervisors.

  • Participate in training assessments and competency development programs as required.

Documentation & Support

  • Provide feedback on work execution equipment condition and maintenance issues.

  • Support work order closeout and basic documentation updates.

  • Assist during plant shutdowns campaigns and major maintenance activities.

What you bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation Mechatronics or related discipline.

  • 03 years experience in plant maintenance or industrial environment.

  • Willingness to learn multiskilled maintenance in a process plant environment.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical electrical and instrumentation principles.

  • Safetyfocused mindset.

  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn PLC and control system fundamentals.

  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions.

Working Conditions

  • Fieldbased role within the Solid Wax Plant.

  • May be required to support shift work shutdowns or extended hours during critical activities.
