Job Summary
The Junior Sous Chef is responsible for supporting dailyback-of-house operations and assisting in leading the team during the direction of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef this role helps ensurefood quality safety and consistency while reinforcing company standards.
The Junior Sous Chef is expected to be proficient acrossmultiple stations support service execution and step in as needed to maintainflow and efficiency. This role plays a key part in kitchen organization prepexecution and team support while continuing to develop leadership skills.
KeyResponsibilities
Support back-of-house leadership during serviceto ensure quality consistency and timely execution.
Assist with expediting orders and maintainingclear communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Ensure all dishes meet presentation and qualitystandards before leaving the kitchen.
Step into any station as needed to supportservice flow and team efficiency.
Assist with opening and closing proceduresincluding but not limited to prep checks line setup and breakdown.
Support inventory organization and properlabeling and storage.
Help maintain food safety sanitation andcleanliness standards across all kitchen areas.
Support training of new hires and reinforcekitchen standards and procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma GED or equivalentpreferred.
24 years of experience in a high-volume orfine-dining kitchen preferred.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations foodsafety and culinary techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment andmanage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and growinto a leadership role.
Availability to work evenings weekendsholidays is a must.
