BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic results driven individual to join as a Junior Industrial Engineer (M/F/D) at our production plant in Viana Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update work instructions supporting the lead Industrial Engineer
• Create training material for operators: visual aids videos 5S station standards
• Create purchase requisitions in SAP for the Industrial Engineering Department
• Transfer of line documentation to QMS platform (AGIR): operations list layout 5S standards
• Support training of new admissions in 5S and Industrial Engineering
• Support in the implementation of containment actions resulting from Quality Alerts
• Support routing update in SAP
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety at work standards policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility.
• Comply with environmental health and safety quality and productivity standards. Comply with the organizations rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics Practice and Schedule
• Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
• Respect and comply with environmental policy rules.
• Perform other duties and tasks on assigned special projects and assignments not included in the activity for which was hired when the needs or convenience of the service justify it for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering
• Experience in the automotive industry (preferred)
• Basic understanding of industrial processes production flows and standardized work
• Knowledge of work instructions standard work and 5S methodology
• Experience in SAP (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
