Position Summary:
Join our Quality team as aTeam Lead Quality Inspection where you will help guide day-to-day inspection activities support product quality and partner with key teams to resolve this role you will use your technical quality expertise to review issues support root cause and corrective action efforts and help ensure products and processes meet company customer and regulatory requirements.
You will also mentor team members help prioritize work and contribute to continuous improvement across the inspection function. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on quality knowledge with team leadership and collaboration in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide operational supervision and day-to-day coordination for the inspection team including workload prioritization and assignment flow.
Review and validate product nonconformances disposition types quality procedures and engineering requirements to support proper resolution.
Analyze product process and operational quality issues against Quality Management System requirements company procedures contract requirements and applicable regulations.
Apply aerospace quality knowledge to support failure analysis forensic review and evaluation of complex hardware or process issues.
Lead and support root cause analysis efforts to identify causes of nonconformance and help prevent recurrence.
Develop document and help implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues and improve processes.
Coordinate with engineering manufacturing supplier quality and other stakeholders to obtain concurrence and commitments for corrective action.
Train mentor and support team members in quality system requirements inspection methods and documentation standards.
Define & prepare analytical reports key quality metrics and communicate quality trends risks and resolution status to relevant stakeholders.
Support audits configuration management material review activities and quality planning changes as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
6 years of relevant work experience in a related field or industry.
A completed technical apprenticeship as a mechanic technician or similar.
Proficient in English and German (reading writing and verbal communication).
Ability to pass a documented color and near vision exam.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook Excel).
Solid skills working with common ERP systems specifically SAP
Ability and experience with the functional supervision (no disciplinary responsibility) of a small team mentoring and guiding team members wherever needed.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Education: associate degree related field of study
Familiarity with QA inspection methods and procedures.
A basic understanding of Six Sigma and team concepts.
Familiarity with failure analysis forensic analysis and material review processes.
Experience supporting audits corrective action validation or quality planning changes.
