Job Summary
Title: IT Operations Manager
Location: Flint MI
Duration: Full Time
Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the organizations IT operations and roadmap
- Oversee and optimize our Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook Teams SharePoint Entra ID)
- Manage and mentor IT staff building a strong scalable team
- Develop and enforce IT policies procedures and security standards
- Champion cybersecurity best practices (MFA endpoint protection monitoring)
- Manage vendor relationships (internet telecom software providers)
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding and access management processes
- Monitor system performance ensuring up time reliability and efficiency
- Own the IT budget forecasting and cost optimization efforts
- Lead technology projects and continuous system improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
- Maintain clear documentation of systems and processes
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
- Communicating IT initiatives and performance to executive leadership
- Foster a positive service-first IT culture across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in IT or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 5 years of experience in IT operations or systems administration
- 2 years in a leadership or senior-level role
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and security
- Proven experience managing vendors and leading IT projects
- Solid understanding of modern cybersecurity best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
