We are looking for:SurgeryVeterinaryAssistant - Discharges

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday 8a-6:30p alternating weekends.

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment perfect fortechnicians that are looking for training in multiplefacetsof the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requiresstrong communicationskillstoliaison between surgeons and clients and deliverpost-operative careinstructions.

Whatyoulldo:

Manage appointments obtain patient histories medical record keeping invoicing patient discharges etc
Fill medications enter charges and maintain accurate medical records schedule appointments
Create patient releases navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations
Prep patients for surgery including shaving scrubbing and positioning assist with intubation and radiographs
Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork
Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
Opening turning over and cleaning operating rooms as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs

Who are you:

Prior veterinary experienceprevioussurgeryexperience desired
Proficientincalculations(drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written
