About you and this role

We have a great opportunity as anR&D Technicianinthe ProcessChemistry&Technology Developmentteam withinPackaging Specialty Plastics & Hydrocarbons R&D located in Terneuzen the Netherlands.

Thisjob offersan exceptional opportunity to join anR&D organizationexcelling in innovation researchin Europe and to contribute to solving the challenges of today and tomorrow in Sustainability Emission Reduction and Waste Plastics Recycling and inManufacturing Processdevelopments and/orimprovements.

Youwill provide technical support to Scientists and Project Leadersin thedevelopment ofnew technologiesfortheoptimization anddecarbonization of Dows manufacturing plants. The candidate willbe responsible forthe preparation and execution of experimental activities and studies for the safe operation of lab scale equipment datacollectionand documentation. The successful candidate will work in diverse teamsisenthusiasticabout learning and exploring newtopicsand will havestrong communicationskills.

Responsibilities

  • Youworkas part of a team in a laboratorysettingsupporting chemists and engineers in developingknowledge and evaluating newmaterialsand process options.
  • You manageand then safely execute laboratory work requestscalibratingmaintainingtroubleshootingand running relevant laboratory apparatus and testing equipmentand documenting data.
  • You developexperimental plans for review/approval byyour project teamand executeapproved plans by performing routine and non-standard tasks or procedures of higher complexity.
  • You achieveproject goals using technical role-specific skills and experience andintroducenew procedures for new instrument methods equipment changes or new equipment.
  • Youactivelyparticipatein work group team meetings to address safety process improvement problem solving and other workgroupdepartment and functional topics.

Qualifications

  • You have anMBO-4 anassociatedegree or abachelors degreeinchemistryapplied chemistryanalyticalchemistryprocess technologychemical engineeringor equivalent.
  • You are eager to learn and explorenew technologiesand techniquesanalyticalmethodsandrelated softwaretools.
  • Priorexperienceinthe operation of reactor system ispreferred.
  • You are a goodcommunicator withworkingknowledge of English.
  • You bring aproactivehands-onandcan-doattitudeto workbut with a safety-firstmindset.

  • Self Motivation - Takes initiative and drives work forward independently effectively prioritizing tasks managing time and delivering results in ambiguous or longterm situations. Demonstrates ownership learns from challenges continuously seeks improvement and deliver effective solutions.
  • Change Management - Ability to support and drive change by engaging stakeholders addressing resistance and enabling sustainable adoption.
  • Data Analysis - Data analysis skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Organizing Planning and Prioritizing Work Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously effectively prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
