Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the solution meets the technical requirements of a material-handling project and is carried out within cost and time scale constraints.

• To interpret design input information (including mechanical design and data lists) to produce control system designs.

• Production of all associated documentation including but not limited to design calculations design specifications operation and maintenance manuals and test specifications.

• Design and production of electrical layouts and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools.

• Procurement of electrical equipment including control panels and field devices.

• Liaising with suppliers on technical matters.

• Travel to customer sites to support the commercial team with new enquiries and conduct site surveys as part of the design process.

General Responsibilities:

• To liaise with systems sales and project engineers during project phase.

• To liaise with installation supervisors sub-contractors and customer during order execution phase.

• To liaise with production planning and purchase departments.

• To liaise with and provide technical information to any department so entitled i.e. controls mechanical projects service spares.

• To comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook Safety Manual and Quality Assurance Manual.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Essential: HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

• Desirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline

• Essential: To be conversant with AutoCAD E-Plan Word Excel Outlook.

• Desirable: previous experience in materials handling industry

• Essential: At least 2-3 years experience in a similar role

• Desirable: Good understanding of distributed control systems

There may be a need to support activities across the EMEA region. This may necessitate some occasional travel outside of the home country across the EMEA region.
