Inviting applications for the role of Advanced Accountant Assistant Manager French- Hybrid Budapest
As an experienced Senior Accountant you will be responsible for working together with the Controllership team and performing and reviewing accounting entries. At this level you are expected to explain variations in accounts and work with auditors on process improvements. You will follow an individual work plan and meet day-to-day short term objectives.
Responsibilities
Prepare account reconciliations
Prepare and review journal entries ensuring compliance with local accounting procedures and US GAAP
Drive the timely preparation of assigned GL journal entries driving increased efficiency
Prepare periodic balance sheet and profit and loss analysis
Engage with auditors to answer questions in regards to control processes and account reconciliations
Prepare analysis and explanations behind variations for local and US reporting
Minimum qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance (or a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in an accounting or finance role)
Written and verbal fluency in French (C1)
Working proficiency in English (B2 as a minimum upper intermediate knowledge)
Strong analytical skills
Intermediate to advanced excel knowledge -required
Good communication and influencing skills; easily adapt to changes
SAP experience - required
Accounting experience - required

Preferred Qualifications
Working proficiency in German (B2 upper intermediate knowledge) is a plus
Experience with Swiss GAAP is a plus
