We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process ensuring high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires flexibility to float between units as needed.
Responsibilities:
Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation evaluation)
Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments including physical psychological and social needs
Develop and implement individualized care plans and discharge planning
Maintain accurate timely and compliant patient documentation
Monitor patients on telemetry and respond to changes in condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Serve as a charge nurse and provide leadership support as needed
Act as a resource for staff including training and orientation
Ensure adherence to safety standards infection control and hospital policies
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care evaluations
Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems effectively
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards
Requirements:
Active Massachusetts RN license required
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
Strong clinical critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
