The EEG Technologist is responsible for performing neurodiagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions. This role requires experience in inpatient settings and the ability to deliver accurate high-quality EEG recordings.
Key Responsibilities
Perform EEG studies and related neurodiagnostic procedures.
Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Monitor and record brain activity identifying abnormalities.
Ensure proper setup calibration and maintenance of EEG equipment.
Collaborate with neurologists and healthcare teams for patient care.
Document procedures and findings using systems such as Epic Systems.
Schedule & Work Environment
Day shifts (10-hour shifts)
Full-time schedule (4 shifts per week)
Weekend requirement applies
No on-call requirement
No floating required
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of EEG Technologist experience
Inpatient EEG experience required
High School Diploma or GED
Active certification required:
Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
CLTM (Certified Long Term Monitoring) certification
Experience with advanced neurodiagnostic monitoring
