Job Summary

About the ProgramSSI is delivering the Asylum Seeker Employment Skills Support program (ASESS) on behalf of the NSW Government providing employment support services to address the challenges experienced by asylum seekers in finding suitable long-term employment the RoleBased in Wagga as an ASESS Regional Employment Consultant you will manage a caseload of asylum seeker participants across the Riverina (direct registrations and referrals) and deliver individualised employment pathway planning and ongoing employment support to help participants achieve sustainable employment and/or training and education outcomes. Youll provide tailored support through onetoone and group activities connect participants to relevant services (e.g. English language support training recognition of overseas skills/qualifications work readiness supports) and work closely with employer-facing functions to identify suitable opportunities and support participants through recruitment and reach out to us for thefull Position Descriptionto review the Key Responsibilities and Measures of CriteriaDemonstrated experience in case management / employment support working with job seekers in both onetoone and group settings. A strong customer/participantcentred approach with the ability to work to service standards KPIs and targets. Confidence liaising with employers and stakeholders and proactively promoting participants to opportunities. Empathy and cultural sensitivity when supporting asylum seekers and people experiencing ExperienceCertificate IV in Employment Services Career Development Community Services (or willingness to work towards).Experience supporting refugee/asylum seeker cohorts and understanding barriers to employment in our BenefitsSalary packaging options to receive up to $15900 of your salary tax-free meaning more take-home pay!
