Position Overview
Our client a leading organization in the agriculture and food production industry is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Information Technology to lead enterprise-wide IT operations. This executive will be responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business objectives driving digital transformation and ensuring the scalability security and efficiency of all IT systems.
The VP of IT will serve as a key member of the leadership team partnering cross-functionally to modernize infrastructure optimize business systems and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth plans
- Lead all aspects of IT operations including infrastructure applications cybersecurity data management and support services
- Drive digital transformation initiatives including ERP optimization automation and cloud adoption
- Partner with executive leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business performance
- Oversee IT governance risk management and compliance with industry regulations and security standards
- Build and mentor a high-performing IT team fostering a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement
- Manage vendor relationships contracts and IT budgets to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Ensure business continuity through robust disaster recovery and data protection strategies
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend investments that provide competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field
- 8-10 years of progressive IT leadership experience with at least 5 years in a senior executive role
- Proven experience leading IT strategy in a complex multi-site environment (manufacturing agriculture or food production preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems cloud platforms cybersecurity frameworks and data analytics
- Demonstrated success driving large-scale technology transformations
- Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large IT budgets
