Position Summary:
The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) assists in overseeing accounting and financial reporting functions preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements and supporting the preparation and monitoring of annual and monthly operating budgets. Under the direction of the CFO this role is directly responsible for daily financial operations financial statement preparation and analysis and cash management.
Required Skills:

- Knowledge of hospital financial operations reimbursement and reporting

Essential Functions:
- Assist the CFO in administering general accounting patient business services third-party reimbursement and financial/statistical reporting functions
- Prepare analyze and monitor monthly financial statements and operating budgets
- Assist in development of long- and short-range operational and financial plans
- Monitor hospital financial performance and identify trends risks and opportunities
- Recommend and support budget modifications and departmental budget development
- Direct preparation of internal financial reports and audit work papers
- Maintain subsidiary financial records and prepare financial statements
- Implement and monitor accounting controls and procedures
- Supervise facility-level Controllers and provide leadership and performance oversight
- Support ethics and compliance initiatives in alignment with company standards
- Assist in cost reduction strategies and revenue enhancement initiatives
- Ensure timely submission of required financial reports to government and regulatory agencies
- Provide oversight or support for data processing materials management and medical records functions
- Act with full authority of the CFO in their absence
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum Qualifications (Experience Education and Certifications):
- CPA or Masters Degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience at the Controller level in an acute-care for-profit hospital required
- Strong leadership presence with a hands-on team-oriented approach
- Approachable collaborative and professional demeanor
