Job Overview:

Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled qualifications calibration preventative maintenance and repair tasks in support of typical analytical and process instrumentation used in the laboratory and biorepository.

Responsible for installation and qualification of new equipment instrumentation and controlling software according to standard operating procedures as appropriate. Coordinates and oversees vendor installation and qualification as needed.

Performs calibration and/or verification of validated instrumentation according to SOP requirements inclusive of appropriate documentation.

Performs preventative maintenance on analytical instruments and/or coordinates necessary maintenance with external vendors.

Maintains an accurate inventory of instruments consumables and spare parts.

Partners cross functionally to troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation and to identify new equipment needs and coordinate procurement efforts.

Responsible for maintaining life cycle documentation of equipment and instrumentation in accordance with applicable SOPs.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in electronics or mechanical technology or closely related field Req
• Related hands-on experience in calibration and repair of measuring and test equipment
• Related hands-on experience in troubleshooting laboratory equipment and resolve process issues
• 1 year experience in a laboratory environment.
