This role will partner closely with strategy and business unit teams to shape disease-state-driven solution strategies and lead the development and execution of external partnerships to enhance and extend GE HealthCares product and solution portfolio.
Reporting to China Business Development Head this role operates at the intersection of clinical strategy business development solutions and ecosystem partnerships translating disease insights into commercial and clinical impactful opportunities. Focusing on an ecosystem-driven partnership-led approach this role will co-develop disease area (e.g. oncology cardiology neurology) strategies collaborate internally and externally to identify solution gaps and leverage external collaborators to shape integrated end-to-end solutions tailored to Chinas clinical needs aiming to drive improved outcomes customer value and sustainable growth.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Disease State Strategy Co-Ownership
    • Partner with China Strategy and Business Unit (BU) teams to co-develop disease area strategies and priorities.
    • Identify unmet clinical needs care pathway gaps and value-based opportunities for integrated solutions. Map and analyze end-to-endclinical pathways in key areas such as cardiology oncology and neurology identify critical gaps where external technologies or solutions can improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Visit strategic key account and establish a deep understanding of top clinical pain points and ensure addressing the specific needs of the Chinese healthcare ecosystem. Partner with clinical Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to validate the medical value of the identified care pathway priorities.
    • Contribute to shaping end-to-end solution concepts across devices digital and services
    • Ensure strategies are actionable and aligned with market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Ecosystem and Clinical Partnership Development
    • Partner scouting and inorganic opportunity evaluation - to identify and evaluate external partnerships that complement and extend GE HealthCare capabilities.
    • Prioritize the partners and innovations that align with GE HalthCares clinical pathway strategy particularly complementary diagnostic or therapeutic technologies and solutions.
    • Perform initial assessment on inorganic opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to perform due diligence and partnership structuring.
  • Clinical Partnership Execution
    • Cross-Functional Execution Planning:Coordinate with BU Strategy and R&D functions to evaluate technology synergy conduct clinical value validation define theragnostic strategies design partnership model and mechanisms and ensure operational feasibility.
    • Financial Forecast and Investment Cases: Prepare financial forecast based on the aligned executional plan present the partnership or investment cases to Regional CEO CFO CMO CTO and BU Heads and receive necessary approvals and global support.
    • Deal Transactional Support: Support the BD and functional teams during due diligence and deal structuring to ensure partnerships meet mutual clinical and commercial objectives.
  • Partnership Onboarding & Tracking: Lead the development of 30/60/90-day plans to onboard partner technology and work with BU and Finance to track KPIs financial outcomes and clinical impact.
  • Solution Enablement: Leverage partnership to support the development of solution offerings to healthcare institutions by working with strategy solutions and BUs. Enable integration of external innovations into customer-facing solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical/Scientific Background: Advanced degree in Clinical Medicine or high-level professional experience within the healthcare industry that demonstrates an equivalent mastery of clinical workflows is required.
  • Strategic Business Experience:10 years of experience in the healthcare industry with a proven track record in business development equity investment or corporate strategy.
  • Theragnostic & Clinical Knowledge:Familiarity with the integration of clinical pathways in cardiology oncology or neurology with a strong desire to lead in this high-growth sector.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams or managing complex projects.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communications: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Bilingual Capability:Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential for navigating the local innovation ecosystem and communicating with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic Mindset and Critical Thinking: Ability to develop and articulate a clear set of inorganic strategies and investment business cases through internal and external stakeholder engagement deep market understanding and fact-based analysis.
  • Inorganic Strategy Execution / End-to-End Deal Experience:Prior experience in managing external partnerships licensing or joint development agreements in the MedTech or Biotech space; M&A or equity investment transactional experience is a plus.
  • Industry Network / Ecosystem Connections:A strong existing network within the Chinese healthcare innovation community (e.g. biotech hubs AI labs and Grade A research hospitals).
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset and Agile Approach:Self-driven resourceful ability to work in a fast-paced environment toaccelerate growththrough non-traditional business models and pilot programs and make things happen.
