Job Title: EEG Technician
Location: West Hollywood CA United States
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Day Shift
- 4 10-hour shifts per week
- 07:00 AM 05:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: Yes
- Floating required
Job Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an experienced EEG Technician to join a Diagnostic Neurology unit. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient experience expertise in EEG monitoring and the ability to work with both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG procedures including electrode placement and monitoring
- Conduct long-term and video EEG monitoring
- Identify seizure activity and notify clinical staff promptly
- Troubleshoot EEG equipment and resolve artifacts
- Mark and clip EEG data for physician review
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and monitoring teams
- Ensure patient safety during all procedures
- Assist with STAT EEG setups and urgent monitoring needs
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of EEG experience (inpatient required)
- Strong knowledge of EEG acquisition and troubleshooting
- Ability to recognize basic EEG patterns and follow seizure protocols
- Experience with adult and pediatric patients
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Active certification required
- BLS certification required
- CLTM certification preferred
Experience & Skills:
- Experience with long-term and video EEG monitoring preferred
- Familiarity with ICU/NICU environments is a plus
- Experience with Nihon Kohden and Natus systems preferred
- Must have active certifications at time of submission
- First-time travelers accepted
