- Hours: 28 hours/ week (0.8 FTE) (Requires working on occasional evenings and Saturdays)

About the role
We are seeking a committed Christian with proven experience working directly with children and families in a school or community setting who is confident in taking ownership of programmes and building trusted relationships across a diverse school community.
This role is hands-on and relational requiring someone who can independently lead initiatives engage parents from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and sensitively integrate Christian faith into both pastoral and practical support.
Role Overview
The Children and Families Manager will take lead responsibility for developing and delivering programmes that support children and families connected to All Souls Church of England Primary School.
This includes:
- Designing and running regular initiatives that address practical social and spiritual needs
- Building consistent trust-based relationships with children parents and school staff
- Identifying needs within the school community and responding with relevant structured support
- Working collaboratively with church and school stakeholders while managing projects independently
- Tracking engagement and outcomes and contributing to reporting and funding requirements
The role requires regular presence in both the school and community setting as well as occasional evening and Saturday work.
Person Specification
- Meaningful and impactful hands-on experience working with primary school-aged children and their families (in a school charity or community setting) OR as a qualified teacher / social worker
- Experience managing or delivering programmes or initiatives (not just supporting)
- Working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
- Excellent communication skills (both orally and in writing) highly organised keen attention to detail and an ability to build collaborative relationships both within the organisation and at the school with children teachers/staff and parents
- Strong project management and administration skills preferably in the charity sector including management of the budgets
- A committed evangelical Christian able to clearly articulate personal faith and demonstrate how it informs work with children and families
- In full agreement with the mission values and vision of All Souls Serve the City and the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith
- Comfortable leading or facilitating Bible studies and integrating faith into relational and support contexts
