Position Summary

Business expert responsible for developing implementing and managing Demand Management System (Relex) forecasting capabilities. Serves as a key contributor to strategic demand planning practices that support brand strategies inventory targets and overall supply chain objectives.

Collects consolidates and analyzes data to create a unified demand forecast within the system. Applies advanced knowledge of forecasting methodologies to identify key demand drivers through root cause analysis of forecast variances.

Leverages exception-based analysis and forecast accuracy metrics to drive sales growth optimize inventory investment and improve business processes.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation including weekends
Own and manage Demand Management System forecast accuracy and inventory performance against established KPIs
Ensure accurate data identification entry and maintenance within the system to support forecast precision
Develop and manage short- medium- and long-term forecasts to optimize item-level accuracy and supply chain performance
Conduct exception-based analysis to identify root causes of forecast variances and implement corrective actions
Execute forecasting processes for new item launches store events and market initiatives
Partner with Super Users to maintain enhance and expand system functionality and capabilities
Collaborate with Fresh Category and Supply Chain leadership to deliver forecast insights that influence long-term strategy
Provide subject matter expertise in forecasting practices across the organization
Support continuous system improvement through business rule updates regression testing and optimization modeling (e.g. truck building EOQ)
Partner with Buyers to translate product knowledge into effective system actions and forecasting inputs
Lead and support cross-functional growth initiatives and projects
Facilitate weekly and monthly demand consensus meetings to support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
Travel occasionally to retail locations and distribution centers for analysis research and project support

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Mathematics Economics Supply Chain Management Logistics IT or related field
Solid understanding of company operations business processes and industry practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

35 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting
APICS IBF or MIT certification preferred
Experience working within cloud-based systems and ERP integrations
Strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies and best practices
Experience supporting IT development and roadmap initiatives
Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
Working knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx

Education

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Mathematics Economics Supply Chain Management Logistics IT or related field

Experience

13 years of experience in category management pricing logistics supply chain procurement or distribution
35 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting
Experience with IT development and roadmap initiatives
Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
