Role description:
This role is to ensure the effective management of Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) compliance risk and value chain processes within Arcadisat global level ensuring operational needs are met with consistency and reliability.
Ensure the organizations HSW global operations value chain activities and technology initiatives operate within regulatory frameworks while proactively managing risks and optimizing value delivery across regions. It involves remote work processdriven guidance to external/internal stakeholders maintaining high standards of administrative accuracy and data management across all HSW systems.
The role reports directly to the HSW Programme Director and dotted reports to the Regional HSW Operations Directors.
Role accountabilities:
Policy and Compliance Management
- Global HSW Policy Development and Implementation: Maintain and regularly update global HSW policies and procedures to reflect legislative changes and industry best practices.
- Auditing and Monitoring: Improve Central HSW second line assurance manage central HSW self-assessments and identify areas for improvement across the organization manage the Enterprise Risk Management tracker on behalf of HSW and ensure adherence to HSW policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to international regulations (GDPR trade compliance financial regulations etc.).
- Liaise with Global Compliance Legal and Integrated Assurance teams to implement compliance controls and policies maintain compliance frameworks across regions (APAC EMEA Americas).
Risk and Incident Management
- Risk Assessment and Analysis: Perform risk assessments and analyses in alignment with ARC to mitigate potential HSW risks.
- Incident and Investigation Management: Oversee global incident management investigations and reporting to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Identify operational regulatory financial and technology risks.
- Maintain enterprise risk registers and mitigation strategies.
- Develop risk assessment frameworks for global projects and initiatives.
- Report risk exposure and mitigation progress to senior leadership.
Operational integration and engagement
- Work with operations to embed HSW and improve adherence
- Stand up HSW communities to incorporate billable HSW professionals working with clients into Global HSW governance and ways of working
- Develop governance models for cross-regional operations.
- Create dashboards for compliance risk and value metrics.
- Provide leadership insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
HSW value chain management
- Collaboration with Procurement: Embed HSW standards for value-chain workers and oversee supplier due diligence.
- Map and monitor the end-to-end global value chain (suppliers operations customers).
- Identify efficiency gaps and cost-of-quality opportunities.
- Improve governance across partners vendors and delivery teams.
- Drive process standardization and value realization.
Key shared Accountabilities:
- Operational Integration: Work with operations to integrate HSW into the Arcadis Way and major project delivery.
- Collaborate with various departments (Finance Procurement Tech Quality Risk non-financial reporting People Legal) to ensure seamless integration of HSW policies and standards across global policies and frameworks. Communicate risk and compliance posture to Leadership team

- Owns:Priorities for self-assessment risk assessments insight reporting
- Owns:Escalate significant compliance or risk issues to senior leadership with suggested resolutions.
- Influences:Updates and changes to HSW policies and procedures based on audit findings and regulatory changes.

Qualifications & Experience:
Key Qualifications and Professional Certifications
- Minimum 7 9 years experience in similar roles required
- Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Risk Management or a related field
- Extensive experience in HSW compliance risk management and policy development within a global organization.
- Strong background in conducting HSW audits and managing incidents.
- Experience with HSW management of supply chain partners
- Demonstrate leadership capability and the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Key Competencies
- Proficiency in collecting analysing and visualizing data to create actionable insights across a global landscape at a C-Suite level
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with IT Operations and HSW teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and the dynamic complex nature of working
