The Position

At OPSWAT were on a mission to protect the worlds most critical infrastructure. As a U.S.-based cybersecurity leader were expanding our R&D footprint in Hungary and were looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our team working on one of our most strategic solutions: MetaDefender Managed File Transfer.

MetaDefender Managed File Transfer is OPSWATs secure policy-driven file transfer solution designed to provide enterprise-grade protection automation and oversight for file workflows. Trusted by governments and global organizations we are at the heart of secure data movement and were expanding its future in Veszprém.
Youll take part in designing and building the backend services that power our secure file transfer platform working closely with engineers security experts and researchers.

As part of our cybersecurity-focused company you will play a crucial role in testing cutting-edge software solutions aimed at protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats. Your work will make a real impact defending the digital front lines of industries governments and essential systems around the world.

You Will Have The Opportunity to

• Collaborate with a diverse and skilled team of engineers security experts and researchers.
• Contribute to AI-driven features that enhance data processing analysis and automation within the platform.
• Write clean well-documented and maintainable code following established coding standards and development methodologies.
• Actively participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning stand-up meetings and retrospectives to contribute to team goals and deliver high-quality software products.

What We Are Looking For

• Ongoing IT-related university studiesat the University of Pannonia Veszprém
• Practical use of IT skills learned at university
• Basic programming knowledge
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work 20-30 hours /week after the University Practice
• Strong teamwork interpersonal skills and flexibility
