Finacle Developer | Core Banking Customization, SQLPLSQL, Middleware Integration, Client Interaction

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Finacle Engineer to support customize and enhance Finacle Core Banking solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver tailored banking functionalities optimize system performance and ensure seamless integrations. This role is vital in helping the organization achieve efficient banking operations and maintain technical excellence across enterprise banking platforms.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Strong experience with Finacle 11 core banking platform including product customization and architecture knowledge

  • Hands-on experience with Finacle customization flows including menu creation reports (MRT & Jasper) batch jobs and FI/EOD-BOD processes

  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL PL/SQL stored procedures triggers and functions related to Finacle systems

  • Experience with Finacle scripting Unix shell scripting and report designing tools

  • Knowledge of Finacle Integrator and capable of suggesting feasible system enhancements

  • Direct client interaction experience for requirement gathering and issue resolution

• Preferred:

  • Finacle certification from Infosys (e.g. Finacle Developer certification)

  • Knowledge of Finacle CRM and Admin modules (FINFADM/SSOADM)

  • Familiarity with cloud deployment for Finacle or related middleware infrastructure

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customizations within Finacle to meet client-specific banking needs including menu configurations reports batch processing and end-of-day processes

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements analyze system behavior and implement solutions aligned with best practices

• Conduct system debugging troubleshooting and performance tuning to ensure stability and efficiency

• Document customizations configurations and processes for compliance and future reference

• Perform integration activities with external systems using APIs or middleware such as Connect 24 or Finacle Integrator

• Conduct system testing support migrations and regularly update documentation to support ongoing maintenance

• Stay aligned with latest Finacle updates security standards and banking industry best practices

Technical Skills (By Category)

• Programming Languages:
  Required: Oracle PL/SQL Unix Shell Scripting Finacle scripting languages
  Preferred: Java JavaScript (for middleware or front-end integrations)

• Databases / Data Management:
  Oracle SQL PL/SQL Stored Procedures Triggers Functions

• Cloud Technologies:
  Basic cloud deployment concepts preferably AWS or Azure (if applicable) for middleware or supporting infrastructure

• Frameworks & Libraries:
  Finacle customization tools report generation tools (Jasper MRT) middleware connectors (Connect 24)

• Development Tools & Methodologies:
  Version Control (GIT) Agile / Scrum ServiceNow or JIRA for issue tracking documentation practices

• Security & Compliance:
  Familiarity with banking security standards data encryption and audit logging

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Finacle Core Banking implementations and customizations

• Proven expertise in developing and maintaining Finacle modules reports and batch jobs

• Experience directly interacting with clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions

• Industry experience in banking or financial services preferred

• Experience working within an agile environment is advantageous

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and tailor Finacle functionalities to meet client-specific requirements

• Conduct system debugging and optimize core banking processes for performance and reliability

• Collaborate with client and internal teams for requirements gathering and issue resolution

• Maintain detailed documentation of customizations scripts and system configurations

• Support end-of-day and batch processing activities ensuring system stability and compliance

• Participate in project planning system testing and deployment activities

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related discipline

• Relevant certifications such as Finacle Developer or specialist certifications from Infosys are preferred

• Proven experience in Finacle core banking customization integration and support

• Ongoing professional development in banking technology solutions and industry standards
