Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager Regional General Manager to join our team in the Eastern Region (Canada).
Reporting to the Vice President Sales Operations The Regional General Manager (RGM) is responsible for Strategic Development and General Management of sales and service operations in the assigned region. The RGM is expected to act with Extreme Ownership regarding all areas of regional operations (regardless of direct management accountability) impacting Dealership and Nissan Canadas Performance with an emphasis on attaining objectives outlined by National Leadership in the following areas:
A Day in the Life:
Deliver on the expectations of the Nissan Customer Promise in both sales and service as measured by internal and external survey benchmarks.
Ensure Network is retail ready physical and digital experience points are aligned with the Nissan Sales and Service Way (NSSW) processes Marketing Policies and basic facility representation requirements (clean orderly current POS etc.) The successful candidate will also manage retail and Wholesale Revenue Generation.
Deliver Retail Vehicle Sales (New and CPO) Vehicle Personalization and Service/Parts Sales performance as measured by volume/$ market share/service retention and accessory penetration objectives
Deliver Wholesale Vehicle and Parts/Accessory volume objectives in accordance with a well-balanced demand-vs-inventory model
Lead Develop and Deliver Regional and Dealer Marketing activations and performance as measured by vehicle leads and service retention.
Become the Easiest OEM for Dealers to do Business with as measured by Dealer Satisfaction in the annual CADA DSI Survey. Simple Transparent Supportive.
Develop a profitable network that maintains ROS at or above industry benchmark. and develop and deploy Sales (New Used Aftersales) Marketing and Customer Experience plans to achieve business status reporting on progress outcomes and key learnings.
Serve as the main escalation authority for Dealers in the region.
Be the Face of Nissan in the Region carrying forward the key strategic messages of the organization while feeding back retail obstacles and opportunities to National Leadership.
Be visible to Dealers and Regional Staff Primary Field Force interface with NCI internal teams on issues related to strategy business transformation and performance optimization in the assigned region.
Who Were Looking for:
10-15 years of experience in the automotive industry required with dealer facing experience strongly preferred or in automotive field/retail operations.
Knowledge of regional and retailer sales and inventory management aftersales business customer experience programs retailer improvement strategies financial analysis. Incumbents must have experience managing budgets and strong planning and organizational skills and knowledge of the Canadian automotive market.
Problems faced by this position are diverse and challenging and generally deal with retailer and people management issues and require creativity/analysis research knowledge and significant judgment and ingenuity to resolve.
Act independently and take the initiative to develop potential solutions within the framework set forth in Nissan local regional and global DOA Guidelines.
This position is accountable for all management responsibilities in the regional team and manages an organization that includes the following Direct Reports: Assistant Regional General Manager(s) (ARGM) Customer Experience Manager(s) (CEM) and a Coordinator. The RGM is also responsible for the larger extended team which reports directly to the ARGM including District Operations Manager(s) (DOM) and Fixed Operations Manager(s) (FOM).
Travel may be required for 50% of the time.
