Construction Materials Laboratory Technician - Pittsburgh PA

What are we looking for

The Materials Testing Lab Technician I is responsible for performing a variety of Construction Materials laboratory testing under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

What youll do:

• Perform Construction materials laboratory testing on concrete soils aggregates and asphalt
• Populate laboratory test data on standard company forms
• Maintain detailed tracking and logging procedures for samples delivered to the Pittsburgh PA laboratory
• Occasionally assist on project sites out of the office in sampling materials retrieving materials or testing materials.
• Work under the direct supervision of a CMT Department Manager

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license and reliable driving record
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift move push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of laboratory experience preferred however willing to train
• ACI Certification preferred but not required
