Construction Manager

We are seeking a dedicated experienced and detail-oriented Construction Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day site-based administration coordination and direct construction oversight of capital and maintenance projects in Orange and Rockland counties New York. This will include but is not limited to experience in overhead and underground transmission and distribution substation gas environmental/remediation and facilities renovation/construction projects.

The candidate needs to be able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions that are in the best interests of the Client. The preferred candidate will be required to read and interpret engineered drawings specifications and details have adequate computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of platforms (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams etc)

This is a great opportunity for someone to influence the construction and renovations of both facilities and utility infrastructure.

The Client is looking for applicants whose commute would be less than 1 hour one way. There is no per diem with this position; therefore you must live within the preferred commute or be willing to relocate.

• Inspect construction projects both buildings and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with contractors subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets specifications.
• Be a transformational leader positively influencing individuals and teams.

• Experience with excavation concrete and civil construction required.
• Experience in gas and electric facility construction is preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best construction practices.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• OSHA 30 and 10 certifications are preferred.
