Schedule: Day Shift 4x10 Hours (07:30 AM 05:30 PM)
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant for a 13-week contract assignment in Fortuna CA. This role plays a key part in supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient patient care delivery in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Record vital signs medical histories and patient information accurately
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms to ensure cleanliness and readiness
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as injections EKGs and specimen collection (as applicable)
- Handle front office responsibilities including patient check-in/check-out and appointment scheduling
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with privacy and healthcare regulations
- Deliver high-quality patient care and ensure a positive patient experience
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Certification (CMA/RMA) preferred but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of EMR systems is a plus
