Clinical Fellow
Job Summary
Provides outpatient clinical care and inpatient surgical services. Provides on call services at other clinical sites as needed and assigned.
Completes clinical documentation and other tasks as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Responsible to a licensed health care practitioner or other appropriate higher level administrator of a medical or professional school of a State university.
Responsible for clinical activities relating to the advanced fellowship training program.
Responsibleforconductingresearchinspecializedareasofhealthcareandfor writing reports on research objectives and results.
Mayparticipateinteachingactivities.
May provide services under a Professional Services Agreement that clearly distinguishes services from those within the advanced training program.
Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency training program. Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of clinical postdoctoral scholar. Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. This candidate must obtain credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.
Must be licensed or eligible for a full Florida medical license in their primary specialty and qualified to function as an attending physician.
This Advanced Fellowship training will usually follow the completion of clinical training in preparation for an academic position or subspecialty certification.
Due to the requirements of this class code holders of J-1 visa are not eligible for an appointment using this code.
