POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resource Intern will participate in cross-functional projects under the guidance of the Human Resource Leadership team. The intern will be involved in cross training activities to develop their vision and understanding of HR processing procedures and goals. This position is designed to expose students to real-world experiences and learning in their field of study.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Participate in projects as designated by mentor to increase understanding of company operations and HR processes and make potential improvements to the processes and procedures. Examples may include:
- Administrative duties Job Descriptions PDQs and Coordinate JSAs maintains files and organizes documents.
- Assists with employee recognition programs.
- Assists in setting up interviews conducting interviews and hiring applicants.
- Assists in preparation of team member communications HR events and team member events as necessary.
EXPECTATIONS
- Team Members Observe & enforce all company personnel quality safety and food safety policies.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers clients coworkers and leadership teams.
- Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies.
- Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program. Human Resources Marketing Agriculture or Business Management is preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Social Media platforms.
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
