Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary
Mechanical Resident Engineer in the plant responsible for assigned projects. Responsible for design related problem solving activities risk assessments and plant related issues.
Work on improvement projects as an extended resource to the VSO (Value Stream Organization) such as scrap reduction downtime FOR (fall-out-rate) IDC (internal defect cost) and improvements on line utilization.
Support and assist on plant/ supplier related issues such as tooling replacement (evaluation of local sources for mechanical components) and supplier delivery issues. Assess and provide guidance from development perspective to commodity related issues such as plastics die-cast stamping etc. Technical responsibility for cost reduction initiatives such as component localization in North America and RPP (Ratio Project Planning).
Assess technical impact of product deviation from the mechanical side.
Qualifications :
Education:
BS Degree in Mechanical Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
Working Experience:
Preferable 2-3 years in similar roles
Soft Skills:
