Background:

Navanti is seeking a Data / GIS Analyst to support a U.S. government customer by providing data-driven and geospatial analysis to inform operational planning strategic assessments and senior leader decision-making. The analyst will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to integrate analyze and visualize complex datasets related to security cooperation activities partner force development and regional dynamics across the African AOR. The selected candidate will support both classified and unclassified analytical efforts contributing to the development of decision-quality products that translate complex data into actionable insights for planners and leadership. The role requires the ability to operate at the intersection of data analytics geospatial analysis and operational context.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Data Science Geography GIS International Relations Intelligence Studies or a related field
• 5 years (mid to senior level) of relevant professional experience in data analysis geospatial analysis or intelligence analysis
• Active TS/SCI clearance (required prior to start)
• Proficiency in GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS QGIS) to develop spatial products and conduct geospatial analysis
• Data analysis using tools such as Python R SQL and Excel
• Develop data visualizations using platforms such as Tableau Power BI or similar tools
• Aggregate clean and analyze structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources
• Produce analytical outputs (reports maps briefings) tailored to decision-making audiences
• Experience supporting U.S. Government DoD or defense contractor environments

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Support to Geographic Combatant Command or Special Operations environments
• Work within programs or operations focused on the Africa AOR
• Use of DoD systems such as Palantir TRESTLE G-TSCMIS JCRM or similar platforms
• Apply geospatial analysis to operational or campaign planning processes
• Apply PMESII-PT or similar frameworks to structure regional or environmental analysis
• Develop and track measures of effectiveness (MOEs) tied to operational objectives
• Conduct data collection and validation during exercises or field engagements
• Operate in classified environments (e.g. SIPR JWICS)
• Deliver briefings and presentations to senior-level audiences

Education:

• Bachelors degree required; Advanced degree (Masters or higher) preferred
