Job Summary
Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time Network Administrator at our central business office in Westerville OH. The Network Administrator is responsible for designing implementing securing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across a large multi site healthcare organization. This role ensures high availability performance and security of LAN/WAN voice and data center networks supporting clinical and business operations for over 400 physicians and 2000 employees across 80 locations. The Network Administrator works closely with IT leadership systems security and vendors to deliver scalable resilient networking solutions aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design configure and maintain core edge and site network infrastructure to ensure high availability scalability and security.
Configure and manage next generation firewalls network load balancers and access systems.
Build and maintain data center network infrastructure including redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities.
Assist with network design and deployment for new sites and infrastructure upgrades.
Configure and deploy networking gear across clinical and business locations.
Develop and execute test plans to validate performance and reliability of network infrastructure.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Work with data circuit providers and vendors to escalate and resolve outages and performance problems.
Analyze packet captures and network telemetry to diagnose complex issues.
Work with IT leadership and business units to align networking solutions with strategic objectives.
Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to cost effectiveness flexibility and security.
Develop and maintain accurate network documentation diagrams and standards.
Ensure network infrastructure complies with organizational security standards HIPAA requirements and industry best practices.
Collaborate with security and systems teams on vulnerability remediation audits and incident response related to network infrastructure.
Participate in on call rotation and provide after hours support as required to maintain critical infrastructure.
Occasional travel in the Central Ohio area to organizational sites may be required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education Licensures & Certifications
Required: Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required: Demonstrated experience administering enterprise network environments.
Required: Active Ohio drivers license with the ability to travel throughout COPCs service area.
Preferred: Experience supporting healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
Preferred: Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP HPE Aruba (wired/wireless) or Palo Alto firewall certifications.
B. Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Expertise in dynamic routing and network protocols (e.g. OSPF BGP VRRP VSF).
Strong knowledge of information security principles and networking best practices.
Excellent problem solving analytical and communication skills.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation skills including network diagrams and technical standards.
Ability to research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends.
Experience designing implementing and supporting enterprise LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
Background in managing data center networking and disaster recovery infrastructure.
Hands on experience with network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Foundational understanding of software defined networking solutions.
History of working in a collaborative team oriented IT environment.
Experience with cloud networking concepts and platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
