AI Developer | Finance & Records | Frankfurt (Germany) | Permanent (full-time, 40hrs)

Developer to build AI automations for Finance (journal vouchers audit support analysis) by automatizing Financial processes with ChatGPT and Copilot Studio. Primary focus is development; during lower development demand support process/data analysis and internal control evaluations to identify new automation opportunitiesaligned to the Principles for Church Use of Artificial Intelligence.

Objectives of this role

• Partner with Finance to map processes/controls prioritize a backlog and identify new automation opportunities (including during lower development demand).
• Deliver AI automations that improve accuracy cycle time and compliance.
• Build production apps and workflows (APIs Power Automate/RPA Copilot Studio) for vouchers audit evidence and reconciliation.
• Apply Responsible AI per the Principles for Church Use of Artificial Intelligence; follow required reviews for higher-risk use cases.
  

• Build and maintain Finance process automations for journal vouchers approvals and supporting documentation; during lower development demand support data analysis and internal control evaluations to surface new opportunities.
• Automate audit support (evidence collection sampling control testing) with traceability.
• Integrate Oracle ERP and Finance data sources via APIs/pipelines; implement validation to improve data quality.
• Apply LLM/AI techniques (OpenAI copilots) with governance: data classification least-privilege access human-in-the-loop approvals and ongoing quality checks.
• Deliver maintainable software (Git tests documentation monitoring) and support operations.

Required:

• 4 years delivering production software or automation solutions.
• Strong coding skills (Python C#/.NET or Java) plus API integration and SQL/ETL/data pipelines.
• Applied AI/LLM experience (prompting RAG extraction/classification) with evaluation and quality controls.
• Power Platform and Copilot Studio experience; able to use OpenAI APIs; comfortable with Excel-based Finance workflows.

• SDLC fundamentals (Git CI/CD testing) with security auditability and Responsible AI compliance (protect sensitive data document limits validate outputs).

Preferred:

• Finance/ERP experience (GL close journal entries controls/audit); degree in CS/Software/IS or equivalent experience.
• Experience in controls-heavy environments (SoD approvals evidence retention) partnering with Audit/Security/Privacy.
• Production AI ops; certifications (Power Platform/Azure AI) and hands-on OpenAI/Copilot Studio experience a plus.
