Program Overview: New Day to Stop Trafficking is The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphias comprehensive survivor-centered response to human trafficking providing a full continuum of care for individuals impacted by both sex and labor trafficking. The program combines rapid response mobile case management a dedicated drop-in center in Kensington and housing interventions to ensure survivors have immediate access to safety and long-term stability. Grounded in trauma-informed practices New Day delivers individualized support that includes safety planning benefits navigation healthcare and behavioral health linkages employment and education pathways and legal and documentation partnership with law enforcement through Police Assisted Diversion and a broad network of community providers the program prioritizes dignity choice and empowerment while working to reduce exploitation and support sustainable exits from trafficking.

Responsibilities

Description of Position: The Assistant Program Director of Anti-Human Trafficking (APD) will support the Director of Anti- Human Trafficking with overseeing the program services vital to the New Day to Stop Trafficking program (NDSTP) in its sustainability and role as a lead in the Anti-Human Trafficking movement in Philadelphia County and Montgomery County. The ADP will oversee all clinical services for NDSTP including group supervision meetings clinical training for all case management staff and building partnerships for other clinical programming. The ADP will coordinate internal training for all clinical staff and assist in external clinical addition the ADP will develop rapport and partnerships with all systems contacts including Philadelphia County and Montgomery County to enhance the program of all New Day programming. Also ADP will recruit Masters level interns to increase New Days ability to serve clients. The ADP will oversee Community Behavior Health (CBH) and Medicaid billing as well as support the Philadelphia Social Services Ministries Director and Divisional Development team in fundraising efforts for the NDSTP.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • MSW degree (LSW or LCSW preferred)
  • Experience with program administration and community organizing work.
  • Ability to form relationships with partners and funders.
  • Have at least three years of experience in clinical services for victims.
  • Experience with working directly with victims of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking.
  • Must have an understanding of the issue of Domestic Human Trafficking.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as needed in performing duties.
  • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check along with renewals every five years.
  • Must have an understanding of and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
