MSHS Science Instructor

Position Title: Middle & High School Science Teacher (6th Grade Biology & 9th Grade Environmental Science)

We are seeking a Science Teacher to teach6th Grade Biology and 9th Grade Environmental Science. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering curiosity critical thinking & a love for science through engaging student-centered role is perfect for an educator who is excited to integrate outdoor learning project-based instruction & real-world applications into their teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging standards-aligned lessons in Biology and Environmental Science
• Create a classroom culture that promotes curiosity respect and high expectations
• Incorporate hands-on inquiry-based and project-based learning experiences
• Utilize outdoor and experiential learning opportunities when appropriate
• Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning experiences
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with students families and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Science Education or a related field
• Valid teaching license (or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee)
• Strong content knowledge in Biology and Environmental Science
• Experience with project-based or experiential learning preferred
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
