Working for our team you can truly make a Print Tool Technician is responsible for performing all duties outlined in this job description as well as any additional assignments provided by the Prepress Graphics Manager Lead or Plant Manager. This role is essential to ensuring efficient printing production by guaranteeing that the appropriate tools are available when required by the press and by maintaining timely communication with the production team to minimize work at MCC:Compensation: $20.00 hourlyGenerous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Dayplus2 floating HolidaysResponsibilities:Regular and predictable attendance including logging in and out of time workedComplies withall company and safety policies and proceduresMake flexographic/lithoplatesMake Rotary ScreensResponsible for the critical evaluation of all plates/screens made and completesappropriate QAcheck listsResponsible formaintainingPlate and Screen Tracking LogsVerifies information on Plate Envelope is correctResponsible for cleaning andmaintainingplatemaking room/screen room and equipmentResponsible for completing preventive maintenance in accordance to set schedule and needCoordinates plate priorities with Scheduling Graphics Coordinator or Graphics SupervisorMaintains components-to-press schedules to understand priorities and mark completion of jobs or flagsParticipate in continuous improvement / Kaizen teamsAttends department meetings and internal training classesParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assignedQualifications:HS Diploma or GED isrequired; College degree strongly preferred ideally related to the printing industryPrint manufacturing experience preferredTechnicalexpertiseinflexo rotary screen and general printing processesExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasksKnowledge of color separations press layouts print specificationsProficiencyin MS Office applicationsRadius job management software experience is a plusAbility to multi-task and work in afast-pacedenvironmentSelf-starter with strong organizational and planning skillsRequires physical ability to climb stairs bend sit stand walk reach with arms push pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extendedtime framesMust haveabilityto lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly. Includes the ability to stoop squat crawl and kneel as needed
