Job Summary
The Program Manager ensures the overall effectiveness of one or more Karis Disability Services locations. They seek to promote and model Karis Disability Services Service Principles by enhancing relationships promoting citizenship valuing peoples gifts recognizing self-determination encouraging growth and development and recognizing the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each persons intrinsic value. They implement organizational policy and establishes an environment for supported individuals and employees in keeping with Karis Disability Services Values Vision and Mission. The Program Manager is required to assist the Direct Support Professionals in meeting the needs of the people who use services promoting growth and enhancing quality of life.
The Program Manager helps build communities of belonging in accordance with the core Values of Karis Disability Services; Valuing People Fostering Belonging Serving Others and Respecting Gifts. They respect and uphold the Values Vision and Mission of Karis Disability Services demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy respect and integrity in their dealings with people using services other employees and both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience: At least 3 years in developmental services.
Education: Three year degree Developmental Services Worker Diploma or relevant education preferred
Skills & core competencies : Emergency First Aid/CPR
Drivers License
Supervisory/Management courses
Organization and Computer skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Conflict Management and good Interpersonal Skills .
Good working knowledge of AlayaCare and UKG will be an added advantage
Work conditions: Some travel within District and occasional overnight travel
Irregular hours
On-call responsibilities
Irregular hours including occasional evenings and weekends.
