Whats the role
As Governance Senior Manager Group Investigations youll provide independent governance and quality oversight across investigations into serious misconduct and whistleblower matters.
Youll oversee investigations across the full lifecycle - reviewing plans conducting tactical quality checks during delivery and ensuring matters are closed with evidence approvals and documentation that can withstand regulatory audit or court scrutiny. During peak periods or highly sensitive matters youll also personally lead investigations endtoend applying strong investigative judgement alongside governance discipline.
Operating within Group Investigations this role balances handson investigative capability with strong governance oversight working closely with investigators Risk Compliance Audit and Legal to ensure outcomes are fair factual consistent and defensible. The role has no direct reports with a dottedline leadership responsibility for the Governance Manager.
This is a Permanent fulltime role based in Sydney with flexible working arrangements (3 days in office)
What do I need
- Strong experience conducting and overseeing investigations within financial services or another highly regulated environment
- Demonstrated understanding of investigation methodologies evidentiary standards procedural fairness and natural justice
- Proven ability to provide independent governance review and challenge while also leading investigations endtoend when required
- Experience developing or maintaining governance frameworks policies standards and quality assurance processes
- Strong judgement and stakeholder influence skills with confidence engaging senior leaders Risk Compliance Audit and Legal
- A curious improvementdriven mindset with experience or interest in using analytics automation or AI to uplift governance and investigation practices
