TITLE: Corporate Controller

COMPENSATION: $200000

REPORTS TO: CFO

LOCATION: Aliso Viejo CA 92656

PURPOSE OF Your Position:

Consumer Products company selling into Big Box retailors thru Shopify (direct to consumer eCommerce channels) and wholesale distribution. They are seeking someone to supervise both corporate accounting and FP&A. As a Director and future finance executive who is looking to make a name for themselves in this industry. Lead and develop a good group in your department while you position yourself for a future VP promotion. The Corporate Director of Accounting and FP&A ensures financials are accurate KPIs are updated processes are improved and GAAP is adhered to. Job Duties

• Lead and manage the full month-end quarter-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Directly supervise and mentor a team of 5
• Oversee high-volume transaction processing managing the workflow for approximately 5000 invoices per month.
• Direct the Accounts Receivable (AR) function and proactively manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to optimize cash flow.
• Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) department ensuring accurate and efficient payments as our suppliers are our business partners and we treat them like family
• Take full ownership of Sales & Use Tax compliance and filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors specifically managing the relationship and requirements for Deloitte.
• Provide strategic oversight for the general ledger and ensure all reconciliations are performed with high precision.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO COO and Chief Revenue Officer to provide data-driven insights that support modest but steady revenue growth.
• Evaluate and improve internal controls and processes to drive automation and efficiency without disrupting customer service.
• Prepare for and lead future system migrations specifically transitioning from Sage to NetSuite
• Manage the integration of payroll functions into the finance departments portfolio in the near future.
• Oversee financial reporting focusing on service costs labor variances profitability and cost management.
• Monitor and report on the financial health of the newly established Colorado office and other regional expansion efforts.

Requirements:

• Experience rising the accounting ranks or someone who has transitioned successfully over to the FP&A side of the house.
• ERP experience such as MS Dynamics 365 NetSuite Acumatica Sage SAP Hana Oracle Cloud or MS Business Central all a plus
• Strong MS Office skills specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Possess a track record of success working and having positive influence in a fast-paced organization.
• Enjoys communication with operations supply chain marketing advertising and C-Level executives
