Job Summary
A&K Railroad Materials is a national rail manufacturing and supply company with more than 65 years in the industry. We are hiring a General Laborer to support yard operations at our Tacoma WA location. This is a full-time M-F hands-on role for individuals who prefer physical work and being outdoors.
As a General Laborer you will assist with the movement staging and organization of railroad materials throughout the yard. This position requires working both indoors and outdoors and supporting daily operations in a team-based environment. The work is active and fast-paced with safety and teamwork as top priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move sort load and stage rail materials and other yard inventory
- Assist with general yard operations and production support
- Operate basic tools equipment and forklifts safely (training provided)
- Maintain clean organized and safe indoor and outdoor work areas
- Work closely with team members to meet daily operational needs

- Reliable and motivated individuals with a strong work ethic
- Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Prior labor or yard experience is helpful but not required
