Join the Close Brothers Group FinanceTeam where you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities within the Group FP&A function supporting the team members development and managing senior stakeholders and ultimately responsible for thedelivery of month end tasks alongside strategic processes including budget forecast ICAAP and deep dive analysis.

Our ideal team member be a qualified Accountant with a strong background in financial controls and an analytical mind. They will have previous experience in providing inspirational and motivational leadership to their direct reports and the wider employee base with excellent influencing and relationship building skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide timely commentary and variance analysis to support understanding of financial performance against budgets forecasts and prior year
• Managing communication of performance to investor relations including gathering supporting evidence from each business area
• Run the annual budget process including consolidation of results challenging submissions and creating summary presentations
• Delivery of ad-hoc / deep dive analysis on key issues including summarising business submissions and understanding the drivers of emerging trends
• Coach mentor and develop staff including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
• Provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with the firms policies procedures standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel including (but not exclusively) Finance Directors Heads of FP&A Financial Controllers Investor Relations Capital Management and Risk function

Developing Our People:as a line manager you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

• A qualified Accountant (ACA ACCA or CIMA)
• An ability to critically analyse financial information and formulate a conceptual approach
• Able to develop relationships with colleagues of varying seniority and from different functions
• Able to lead and influence a variety of stakeholders
• Able to take complex issues and communicate these in a simple effective manner including to senior stakeholders
• Keen attention to detail and can produce consistent high-quality output
• Able to deliver effective reporting under tight deadlines
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge ofMS Office packages including Excel and Powerpoint

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

• Experience within the Financial services industry
• Experience using SAP tools including Office Analyzer and BPC
• Previous management experience
