We are hiring into the role of an expert in Processing Liquid Food Solutions. This role will report to Engineering manager and is based in Chakan Pune.

Required expert knowledge of the general principles of how food products are processed and packaged the main equipments used the composition quality aspects and the hygienic requirements for the equipments facilities and operators. Expected good knowledge and experience of the engineering practices including Plants process lines applications and technology to do the design of the Production Solutions. Knowledge and understanding of the engineering practices for the design of food processing machinery including applied food processing technology hygienic design general machine design testing methods and manufacturing technique.

What you will do

• Deliver Automation specification and programs/PFS on highly complex and customized BPUs and lines.
• Automation responsibility expert with experience for highly customized and complex BU BPU and Line order projects in all respects i.e. cost time quality and scope of obligations.
• To lead the Automation design within the framework of the budget time schedule quality and scope contributing to the overall sales result and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate expertly technical skills excellent knowledge in installation needs and customer operations at site.
• Excellent knowledge and be part of developing necessary standards guidelines tools and methods for Automation design.
• Demonstrate very good knowledge of Process control.
• Take lead and provide expert support in automation design area to customers and colleagues.
• Excellent understanding of product portfolio and its functionality
• Pro-actively lead and communicate with order team.
• Drive productivity in project through utilization and creation of re-useable solutions std component list and processes.
• Take lead and provide excellent support in automation design area to other areas like sales Issue resolution commissioning PLC and PC.
• Act as a mentor and train others within and outside Tetra Pak
• Lead responsible to implement Tetra Pak standards in the safety in the automation program design OHS.
• Lead responsible for compliance documentation - Food safety EHEDG 3A FDA etc.
• Deliver test and/ or reviews in project work and decide solutions for improvements in FAT and SAT Automation design reviews Responsible for delivering documentation of the tests / reviews - test specifications and Operator Manual (HMI).
• Act as Subject matter Expert in the field of automation during customer meetings.
• Able to contribute to the Tetra Pak global standards in the automation design.
• Take lead and provide expert support in automation design area for the team as well as customers globally and act a coach to engineers.
• Understand and lead the team for solving the automation related WCM losses.
• Proficient in working with the engineering tools and guide others - TPM Wonderwares ArchestrA- SCADA In Touch- HMI PI Rockwell Siemens Global SkyNet etc.
• Work with tools like SAP WCM or other applicable tools required by the role.
• Excellent knowledge of BU specific product portfolio and translate the customer requirements to our portfolio offerings.
• Specific product / processing knowledge - expert in specific machines and able to use the knowledge in issue resolutions & support to development projects; PC/PLC projects Raw materials properties Process technology End product properties Performance targets Machine manufacturing.
• Able to develop Process Functional Specification for the use in programming for highly complex and customized BPUs and lines.

• Cost estimation for Pre-projects & Projects and plan for cost reduction.
• Time planning; Understand and work according to time Plan. Can work under demanding timelines and situations.
• Test & review; Be a participant in test and/ or reviews in project work.
• Assembly drawings: Being able to read and understand assembly drawings and plant layouts.
• Customer focus: takes the initiative to ensure that opportunities to maximise the value addition to the customers of the Tetra Pak are taken.
• Plan and implement cost reduction efficiency and quality improvement program.
• Support customer and internal stakeholders for testing commissioning and site issues.
• A self-starter who takes the initiatives on solving problems and creating opportunities for improvement without being asked. Able to work effectively on day-to-day basis without direct supervision.

We believe you have

• A bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• You must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
• 12 years of working experience with automation design
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
• This position will be based in Chakan Pune India.
• This role may require some travelling in India or Abroad approx. 30-60 days a year.
