Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Intern to support our business with receiving processes and a variety of administrative duties. This role offers the opportunity to assist with day-to-day operations ensuring accuracy in documentation coordination of materials and overall workflow efficiency.
This internship provides hands-on experience by contributing to operations and driving customer satisfaction through streamlined processes proactive communication and high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Manage receiving and logistics coordination by verifying incoming shipments reconciling discrepancies scheduling deliveries and maintaining accurate documentation for purchase orders bills of lading (BOLs) and proof of delivery (PODs)
- Oversee inventory and order processing by tracking materials coordinating transfers between locations supporting cycle counts and ensuring accurate system updates for inventory work orders and outside processing activities
- Maintain administrative and operational records by scanning and uploading documents generating reports (e.g. backorders BOL edits) handling data entry and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting processes
- Support cross-functional operations by communicating with carriers vendors and internal teams assisting with customer documentation requests answering incoming calls and providing backup support across departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education Qualifications and Experience:
- Major in Business Administration or related field.
- Excellent technical skills including a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.).
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
