The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires expertise in imaging procedures patient care and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper identification procedures.
Administer contrast materials when required and monitor for reactions.
Maintain accurate documentation using electronic systems such as Epic Systems.
Follow radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members.
Schedule & Work Environment
Night shifts (10-hour shifts)
Full-time schedule (4 shifts per week)
Hospital or clinical imaging environment
No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
Active CT Technologist certification/licensure (state-specific)
ARRT certification (CT preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in CT imaging procedures
Preferred Skills
Experience with high-volume imaging environments
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
Ability to work independently during night shifts
