Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires expertise in imaging procedures patient care and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient safety comfort and proper identification procedures.
- Administer contrast materials when required and monitor for reactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic systems such as Epic Systems.
- Follow radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Night shifts (10-hour shifts)
- Full-time schedule (4 shifts per week)
- Hospital or clinical imaging environment
- No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active CT Technologist certification/licensure (state-specific)
- ARRT certification (CT preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in CT imaging procedures
Preferred Skills
- Experience with high-volume imaging environments
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
