We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) to join a high-acuity healthcare setting. This role requires flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in Med/Surg and Telemetry units
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Adhere to hospital safety quality and compliance standards
Requirements:
Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License (required at submission)
Certifications required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
Additional Expectations:
Must be flexible to work rotating shifts (day/night) as needed
Required to work every other holiday
Completion of required clinical assessments during onboarding
Use of timekeeping systems for accurate reporting of hours
Preferred Skills:
Previous travel experience in similar settings
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt quickly with minimal supervision
