Job Summary
The Music Teacher is responsible for providing highquality music instruction in a faithcentered Catholic school environment. This role supports student creativity musical development and appreciation of music while integrating Catholic values into instruction and school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide music instruction to students in Preschool through designated grade levels
- Teach music fundamentals including rhythm melody movement vocal technique and music literacy
- Create engaging ageappropriate lessons that encourage participation and confidence
- Prepare students for school performances such as concerts assemblies and seasonal programs
- Support and assist with music for school liturgies Masses and prayer services
- Foster a structured respectful and welcoming classroom environment
- Collaborate with school administration and teachers as needed
- Communicate effectively with students and families regarding expectations and activities
- Support the mission and values of Catholic education through positive role modeling
Schedule
- Schoolday hours
- Follows the academic school calendar
- Parttime or fulltime schedule based on school needs
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Music Music Education or related field preferred
- Experience teaching music to children preferred
- Knowledge of ageappropriate instructional strategies
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to inspire student engagement and appreciation for music
- Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of Catholic education
- Ability to meet all background check and Safe Environment requirement
