Job Summary

OPS Fume Hood Technician

Classification Minimum Requirements:

A High School diploma and a valid Florida Drivers license with safe driving history are required.

Job Description:

Conduct fume hood monitoring to ensure compliance with all applicable local state and federal regulations.

Complete associated duties including fume hood inspection and airflow verification data entry and maintaining accurate fume hood records.

Perform various administrative tasks related to the fume hood monitoring program as assigned.

Provide quality customer service to the UF research community as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM

Expected Salary:

$17.00 Hourly

Required Qualifications:

A High School diploma and a valid Florida Drivers license with safe driving history are required.

Preferred:

Proof of good work ethic.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
Ability to provide professional customer service
Ability to operate Windows-based programs
Experience with data entry and database software
Knowledge of UFs campus

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Must be dependable and have the ability to perform physical activities involving reaching lifting twisting climbing stairs and/or ladders extensive walking around campus.

Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
