The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires technical expertise patient care skills and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians.
Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality images.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper identification.
Maintain accurate documentation using electronic systems such as Epic Systems.
Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
Schedule & Work Environment
Day shift (8-hour shifts)
Full-time schedule (5 days per week)
Clinical or hospital imaging environment
No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
Active Radiologic Technologist certification/licensure (state-specific)
ARRT certification (preferred/required based on facility)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in diagnostic radiography
Preferred Skills
Experience in high-volume imaging settings
Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
