Job Summary
Can you balance books control stock and keep the numbers milling perfectly If spreadsheets excite you more than spreadsheets should and you know that in FMCG the numbers move almost as fast as the products this Bookkeeper role could be your next big grind! Our client a major FMCG conglomerate is looking for a sharp finance professional to join their team on-site at their mill in Cape Town.
This is finance on the factory floor where stock operations and financial control collide. Youll be the financial backbone of the mill keeping stock under control reconciliations tight and operational numbers flowing smoothly through the system. If you enjoy being close to the action working with operational teams and ensuring that the numbers behind production stack up youll thrive here.

Key Responsibilities:
- Keep stock control tight and reconciliations tighter
- Manage debtors creditors and financial procedures
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations that actually balance
- Spot deviations early and recommend smart fixes
- Support the capital expenditure process and controlled expenses
- Keep finance and operations aligned across the value chain
- Process value chain reconciliations and maintain accurate reporting
- Own month-end processing and financial housekeeping
- Provide team supervision and support where required
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom in Accounting or Finance non-negotiable
- 2 to 3 years accounting experience
- 1 to 2 years stock control experience in stock-heavy environments
- Experience within FMCG or wholesale industries preferred
- MS Great Plains experience highly advantageous
- Supervisory experience beneficial
- Strong Excel capability and attention to detail
- Comfortable working site-based in an operational environment
