Skilled Trade- EXPERIMENTAL PARTS & BODY PAINTER- NMPDC

Rate of Pay and Benefits:

Experimental Parts & Body Painters are paid a top hourly base rate of $44.475 plus applicable shift overtime and holiday premiums. The starting rate for this position is $44.275 with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment.

Willingness and ability to work on any assigned schedule change shifts work more than 8 hours per day and/or work overtime all while maintaining good attendance. Ability to perform tasks of the trade work with limited supervision stand for extended periods work at heights work overhead including on ladders and platforms and manipulate tools typical of the will require a certain amount of reaching lifting twisting bending and use of a to perceive differences in details and prints related to trade. Must be able to effectively maneuver about vehicles equipment assembly lines or stations and about facility.

Candidates must have a technical knowledge of paints and their properties. At least 8 years of previous experience in painting/body repair and blending. Must have knowledge and be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Spot repair water sand run a D.A machine and a polishing wheel

• Dent Repair
• Body filler
• Spraying Automotive Refinish Paint
• Color Matching
• Reading of Illustrations
• Finish Sanding and Polishing
• Basic Feel for Spraying OEM High Bake Paint preferred
• Phosphate and water treatment preferred
• Desire to do the job

Successful completion of a job interview pre-employment drug screen physical and background check are required. Drug panel does not include THC.
